Electric Back Stretcher For Back Pain Relief & Decompression

Watch The Review

We love the towel method for low back decompression because it is a great way to take load off the lower back whilst simultaneously relieving pressure on the muscles and restoring the natural lordosis. As a method of decompression it is great, however the one thing that the towel cannot do is create a pumping mechanism. This is why we were interested in looking at the OrthoPro from OrthoJointRelief.com when a member of ours brought it up in the group. They were kind enough to send us one to review when we reached out.

One of the nice things about this particular device is that it offers a the ability to provide a pumping effect through the use of their inflating lumbar support function. This essentially has the effect of pressing the pro-lordotic support into the back, resulting in a stretch being placed through the spine, unloading or decompressing the discs in the lower back, and spine in general.

This particular device also has a number of other functions such as vibration and heating as well as EMS however the area that was most interesting to us was the capacity to “mobilise” and “decompress” the lower back with this rhythmical pumping action. You’re essentially able to treat your own lower back with this.

There are however some things to note, first and foremost, do not use this device without a T-shirt on! bare skin on an electronic back stretcher in hindsight is not a particularly intelligent idea – you’ve been warned. Secondarily heating. Many of our members will know our opinion of heating for lower back issues, one of the realities of using a device, be it a towel or this electric back stretcher with a heat function is that when your back is pressed up against something for minutes at a time it gets hot anyway. This is why we always recommend some ice to be used afterwards for a few minutes just to make sure that we don’t find things pool in the lower back and aggravate our pain.

The vibration function is a handy one and although not as strong as a direct vibration gun or massager, it still does provide some aid to relax muscles as the decompression takes place.

Hopefully the video above gives you a good idea of our impressions of this electric back stretcher and helps you better understand if this could be a handy device for you to compliment your hard work strengthening your lower back.
